Finding a place

I was surprised and delighted to discover (courtesy of a beloved friend) this image hanging outside of one of my favourite places, the State Library of New South Wales.

As a writer and business owner, the State Library is extremely close to my heart. It was the greatly needed net which appeared to catch me as I leapt from the secure structure of working 9-5 just over a year ago. Subsequently, it became the birthplace of some very special (soon to be shared) projects.

The library is a sanctuary of learning, productivity, and creativity for so many because it's energy is infectious. The rich history of the place is present in every corner, and this sense of grandeur has a funny way of unlocking untapped creative potential. Surrounded by evidence that incredible human accomplishments are indeed possible, you mysteriously feel emboldened to rise to the occasion - to push beyond the limits of what you thought you were capable of, and to believe in the possibility of your efforts bringing results greater than you’d ever imagined.

Thank you to everyone who contributes to the running of this beautiful monument, and for making me a part of celebrating all that it has to offer. And if you’re yet to experience them, the reading rooms truly are magnificent.
